Meg River's Cakes and Gifts
You are sure to get excited when the postman has been if you receive a box marked Meg River's Cakes and Gifts by post.  I recall the day this happened to me as I opened the box with great excitement, and to my joy found its contents to be a wheat free (Gluten Free) Christmas Cake.  It didn't take me long to tuck in as the post had arrived just in time for morning tea, the moist rich cake with a hint of ginger was divine.

Speaking to Julian Day, the owner since Meg Rivers sadly passed away, it's clear that Julian has taken her passion for excellence forward, summed up in their brochure "Like all the best ideas, Meg Rivers was classically simple.... take the best ingredients and bake beautiful cakes. His bakers using traditional methods, blending and baking cakes in small batches to ensure they retain that authentic 'home baked' taste and every cake is finished and decorated by hand.
