The thought of cycling through northern Spain in the spring keeps me going through the British winter. I am looking forward to all the amazingly different organic produce we'll be eating along the way …not to mention the Rioja!"

Trip One: Saturday 5 May - Monday 14 May -Bilbao/Barcelona

Trip Two: Saturday 12 May- Tuesday 22 May -Barcelona/Bilbao

On route to Barcelona, Susanne Austin stopped for a breather with a passing Spanish shepherd.

"This trip will remain ingrained in my mind as well as my heart for the rest of my life", said Susanne of the Cotswold Food Group.

"I wanted to get fit and felt The Great Organic Bike Ride would be a useful promotional tool for my company. I was also keen to raise money for the Soil Association. I raised the £2000 sponsorship with the support of family, friends and companies I worked with as well as a health dub in Oxford."

A previously occasional cyclist, Susanne returned home to many r

queries as to the health of her posterio as well as exclamations of 'I bet you never want to see a bike again'.
"All I wanted to do was to get on my bike and ride as fast as possible back to those mountains in Spain."
For Susanne the ride was an exhilarating mixture of 'personal challenge, fatigue, many highs and lows, and the euphoria of achievement'.
Susanne wouldn't hesitate to recommend taking part in the Great Organic Bike Ride. It taught her 'never again to say I can't'.
